Just found this forum and checked out the previews for the maps.. nice work but.. why are you using such similar map symbols? All circles and then some xan symbols..
You could use more basic geometric shapes. Circle, square, diamond, triangle (4 possible positions), maybe even a pentagon, hexagon or a 5-point star.
Even the map provided by FC uses different symbols for garden and sanc statues, the O/S is hard to read.
Hope I don't sound too negative.. you're doing great work and it's appreciated a lot. |

I'm trying to keep a uniform theme, while using colour to differentiate symbols, rather than shape.
As a side not, I'm going to be applying filters to it soon though to mimic the effects of different forms of colour blindness, to make sure my colour scheme will still work for them. There's still potential for change to the symbol schemes before I'm done.
Thanks for the support. _________________

Updated the Inferno previews, now I've added the quest mobs for the Anansi line and several Yuttos. _________________

I don't quite understand - Do you mean note each and every statue in the garden and where in the world it leads to? Because there's really nowhere near enough space on the map for that, and as all statues inside the gardens are clustered together I figured it was fine just naming the destination statues and leaving players to spend the five seconds it takes to run around the cluster of statues in each garden to find the destination they want. _________________

| Yea, thats what I meant, to name each statue in garden, for idiots like me at least, I find myself forgetting them, even after 1.5 years of playing lol |

Hmmm.... A thought occurs.
I could add zoomed versions of the garden maps to the catacomb layer and label them. _________________
